While my home is in Arizona now, I go to Oregon whenever possible to see my son and his family. The surrounding area, while wet and dreary in winter and spring, can be breathtaking. The hills and low mountains of the Pacific Northwest are perfect for growing. While I often see artist’s concentrate on landscapes of French hillsides, I think the Northwest is the equal of more traditional European landscape scenes.
This piece again features oil with cold wax medium for texture. I’ve missed going here lately, since I’ve been recuperating this past year, so this scene is from memory.
